United Church of Canada
This is the official website of the national body of the United
Church of Canada and it contains a vast array of information and resources.
This site contains highlights of each months issue of the
official (award-winning!) magazine of the United Church of Canada. The site
includes articles archived since 1997. (In order to subscribe to the Observer,
contact the Camrose United Church office.)

church", this is a site with a variety of information about the United Church
of Canada developed and maintained by the Rev. Richard and Charlene Fairchild
of Golden, BC. It includes an e-mail directory of United Church congregations
and ministers as well as a wealth of information and resources.

The United Church's training centre on Lake Okanagan in the
Okanagan Valley in British Columbia.

These two colleges amalgamated in July 2000 and while they

Ecumenical
This site provides a glimpse of Christianity world-wide,
relationships among denominations internationally, and the global struggle for
Christian unity.
Part of the World Council of Churches website, this section
focusses on the World Council sponsored Ecumenical Decade to Overcome
Violence, which is the decade, 2001 -2010.
This is a source of information on world relief projects and the
response of the churches' ecumenical world relief arm of the World Council of
Churches. When we make donations for disaster relief through our United
Church's Mission and Service Fund, that money is channelled through this
agency.
Several Christian bodies in Canada speak and act jointly through
the Canadian Council of Churches.
This is the national, ecumenical women's organization which
sponsors the annual World Day of Prayer and the Fellowship of the Least Coin
(among other things).

comprehensive program for Biblical study which is offered at Camrose United
Church (since September 2002).
The popular daily devotion is available on this site as well as
many other interesting resources. (The Upper Room daily devotional is
also available in booklet form from the literature rack by the entry way of the
church or by subscription.)
A new store that opened its doors on Friday, Sep 6 at Whitemud
Crossing in Edmonton. It is a local effort to fill the gap left by the closing
of the United Church Book Room. It will carry a wide selection of books and
resources.
Community
Camrose society for a women's shelter. Brigantia Place is a
non-profit organization that exists to assist individuals and families who are
experiencing the effects of family violence to work toward a lifestyle free of
abuse. The web site contains their wish-list: a list of various items they
invite people to donate.
